It's hard to believe that the summer is already more than half over! If this year's high
gas prices have you a little bummed, not to mention staying closer to home, please be
sure to read on.

On Friday, August 1st, the Eagles will help ease your stay-at-home pain with a little
music by the Whitewater Band. On Friday, August 8th, the group Streetwize will be at the
club to rock your blues away. If singing in the shower just doesn't cut it anymore, come
down to the club for Karaoke Night on Friday, August 15th. The Whitewater Band will be
back in the club again on Friday, August 22nd to round out a fourth Friday of fantastic
music at the Williamston Eagles!

On Saturday, July 19th, the Williamston Eagles sponsored their 13th Annual Classic
Car Show. This year, tractors were also added to the venue. Unfortunately, the threat of
severe thunderstorms with locally damaging wind and hail kept the number of participants
down. Luckily, the severe weather never materialized and aside from a few sprinkles in
the morning,it was a good day for the 10 car owners and 1 tractor owner that brought
their pride and joy to our show.

Speaking of lucky, our congratulations go out to Roxanne Kanilopoolos. Roxanne
purchased the winning ticket for the Basket of Cheer sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary. It
is our understanding that Roxanne's son will be coming home from Iraq soon and that the
basket will be used to celebrate his homecoming!

Friday, August 8th through Sunday, August 9th, the Williamston Eagles will be hosting
the District 11 Summer Outing at he Michigan Eagles Family Recreation Center (MERFC)
in Lake, Michigan. Our theme this year is "The Eagle Pirates of District 11". The MEFRC
is located on over 300 acres and has rooms for rent and a small campground with water
and electric. Whether you come up for a day or the entire 3-days, you are sure to have a
good time! We hope to see you there!
